Because the "why" matters, here is more about Kirby's

Campaign

Kirby Samuell’s campaign is about bringing a fresh, dynamic perspective to the community. As a candidate, Kirby stands out not only for his deep-rooted commitment to the well-being of local residents but also for his innovative approach to solving problems that have long

been overlooked. With a background in community organizing and a track record of collaborative leadership, Kirby is driven by the belief that lasting change begins with the people.

At the heart of his campaign is the idea of empowerment—putting power back into the hands of ordinary citizens. Kirby aims to address the issues that matter most to the community, from improving local education and healthcare systems to tackling economic inequality. His vision is not just about policy change, but about creating a stronger sense of unity and shared purpose among residents. Kirby’s focus on grassroots involvement is key to his approach; he believes in listening to people’s concerns, amplifying their voices, and ensuring that their needs are met.

One of the cornerstones of Kirby’s platform is sustainable economic growth. He advocates for policies that support small businesses, promote green initiatives, and invest in technology to help the community thrive in a rapidly changing world. Kirby is also committed to enhancing public services, ensuring that they are efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of every individual.

But it’s not just about policy—Kirby’s campaign is built on the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability. He’s dedicated to ensuring that all voices are heard and that the local government serves the needs of the people, not special interests. As a candidate, Kirby is approachable, empathetic, and ready to work alongside community members to make a tangible impact.

With a combination of experience, vision, and a genuine love for the community, Kirby Samuell’s campaign is all about creating a better, more inclusive future for everyone.

Local elections rarely make headlines, yet they impact our daily lives more than most people realize. I am running for Truro Township Trustee because our community deserves leadership that listens, communicates openly, and treats residents like valued partners. I have spent years volunteering, serving on community boards, and working with families who often feel unheard. Those experiences showed me how important it is for local government to be transparent, inclusive, and accountable in everything it does.

Small races like this shape the foundation of our larger political system. If we want better leadership at the state or national level, we must first expect fairness, integrity, and common sense right here at home. Your vote in a local election sends a message about the kind of leadership and values you expect everywhere.

I am inviting you to be part of this effort. You can volunteer, share our message, attend community events, or simply help neighbors understand why this race matters. And if you are able, donations of any size truly help us reach more voters.

Please mark your calendar and vote on November 4. Together, we can build a community where people feel informed, included, and respected.

Campaign Initiatives

My campaign is centered on building a stronger, more inclusive Truro Township by focusing on transparency, accountability, and meaningful community engagement. Too often, decisions are made without sufficient public input or clear communication. Residents deserve leaders who will listen, act with integrity, and ensure that every voice has a place in shaping the future of our township.

I believe local government should be accessible, responsive, and focused on improving everyday life for our residents. That means investing in our schools, supporting public safety, maintaining parks and services, and making sure taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly. It also means creating opportunities for residents to participate in township decisions, strengthening partnerships with community organizations, and promoting equity so no group feels left out of the process.

Community Involvement
  • Actively working to establish a district-wide PTO to strengthen collaboration between families, teachers, and administrators, ensuring every student has a voice in shaping their educational experience.

  • Pushing for transparency in governance by advocating for livestreamed trustee meetings, timely posting of meeting minutes, and open communication with residents.

  • Expanding opportunities for civic engagement by creating advisory committees and community forums where residents can help guide local priorities.

  • Building partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to provide after-school programs, mentorship opportunities, and support for at-risk youth.

  • Promoting inclusive decision-making so that underrepresented groups, including seniors, working families, and marginalized communities, have their perspectives heard and respected in township policies.

  • Encouraging volunteerism and service by connecting residents to projects that improve parks, public safety, and neighborhood well-being.

  • Working to increase access to resources such as food assistance programs, health services, and housing support, ensuring no family is left behind.

  • Strengthening communication channels by using newsletters, social media, and community events to keep residents informed and engaged.

Public Service
  • Dedicated to serving Truro Township and enhancing local resources and services; by working with Reynoldsburg and outside vendors/sources we can improve the quality and availability of both.
